Weight And Balance Calculation Saves Time, Increases Accuracy

SAVANNAH, Ga., August 1, 2013 — Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. recently released its new PlaneBalance™ application, a weight and balance calculation tool. The app complements the company’s PlaneBook™ iPad application, an electronic document management system that has helped pilots and flight crew operate Gulfstream aircraft more safely and effectively since 2011.

“This paperless, interactive application can provide weight and balance information on the fly and can generate reports about center of gravity, aircraft configurations, payload weight and fuel,” said Bill Colleran, director, Technical Publications, Gulfstream. “It offers our customers considerable time savings and improves accuracy.”

The Gulfstream PlaneBalance app is available from the App Store on iPad or at www.itunes.com/appstore. Gulfstream’s PlaneBook Software Version 2.0 must be downloaded onto the iPad prior to downloading PlaneBalance. Customers can send questions or comments at any time to [email protected].
